Sunset Beach Juniors were out enjoying the sun and sea today. Plenty of fun and action to be had. Loads of parent support! Fun times.
We enjoyed the weather, the sunsets, a bit of surfing, jumping off horseshoe, crate weekend... and of course some lifesaving. Might have even seen the green flash and a full moon!
Sunset Beach U19 and U23 Men's Surf Boat Teams attended the1st of the New Zealand Surf Lifesaving Surf Boat Series at Mt Maunganui. The U23 team also attended the New Zealand Trials for the New Zealand Representative squad on the Saturday.
This is their first year competing in the U23 competition and they did extremely well. Whangamata had a better day in the NZ trials but Sunday was all Sunset Beach crossing the line in prominent positions for both U19 and U23 to take out the 1st round of the series. Valuable points earned to carry to the next series at Whangamata on the 9th and 10th of December. Well done Sunset!
